HWE held a workshop on February 1, 2010 in Beitello Village within the solar energy project. The title of the workshop is “discussing and examine the project steps of pumping water by solar energy in Betello”. The participants in the workshop were Dr Amjad Aliewi representing HWE staff, the project expert Dr. Emad Break, representative of the small grants program from the UNDP, representative of Al Ettihad Municipality, residents and beneficiary farmers.
Areas of work
HWE works closely with Newcastle University (UK) and many other international institutions and funding agencies such as UNESCO, ESCWA, CEDARE, UNU, USAID, DFID, AFD, GTZ, GWP, EUWI, JICA, ACSAD, BGR, EU, etc.
Main Goals
HWE offers a wide variety of services in water, sanitation and environmental engineering and science from the needs identification stage to the elaboration of tender documents, supervision of works and technical assistance.
House of Water and Environment
The House of Water and Environment (HWE) is a Palestinian not-for-profit NGO that was established in the year 2004. HWE aims to promote practical research into the current and future state of water resources and the environment in Palestine and across the region.
